The city has launched many initiatives like the “Digital Ambassador,” the “Community digital technology team”, digital marketplaces, among others, to make digitalization accessible to everyone. A portal to study digital technology has also been launched on social media platforms Zalo and Facebook, with a category called “AI literacy for all.”
The city has organized training on digital transformation for nearly 2,000 officials at grassroot-level agencies, recruited more than 120 youth volunteer teams to help develop e-identification and authentication apps that use population data. It has inaugurated a number of major infrastructure projects like the International Data Center (IDC), the Viettel High-Tech headquarter buildings, and a landing station for underwater fiber-optic cables.
Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, Nguyen Van Quang said: “Promoting digital transformation and digital literacy will drive Danang’s development, help the city attract and retain talents, and lay the groundwork for Danang to become a sci-tech, innovation hub."
