(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang on Tuesday attended a ceremony in Dak Nong province to mark its 10th anniversary.
President Sang pointed out the province’s weaknesses such as slow economic restructuring and low productivity. He asked the province to boost the application of science and technology to ensure rapid, effective and sustainable growth. President Sang said: “The province should restructure its agricultural sector toward increasing economic efficiency. Efforts should be made to protect and develop forests, build new rural areas, improve the local infrastructure, and simplify administrative procedures. The province should also attract more investment to develop industry, services and mining while protecting the environment.”
President Sang asked Dak Nong province to preserve and enhance the cultural identity of local ethnic groups and promote the movement to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.
