(VNA) - Leaders from the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong yesterday met with more than 60 Catholic and Protestant dignitaries on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas festival.

They praised the dignitaries’ efforts to encourage the Catholic community to implement patriotic emulation movements and boost the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in economic development and poverty reduction. They wished the dignitaries and their followers a merry Christmas and expressed the hope that the dignitaries, with their prestige and responsibility, will make more efforts to encourage Catholic followers to abide by the policies of the Party and the law of the State.

The dignitaries expressed their deep gratitude to the local Party Committee and authorities for programs to help improve the material and spiritual life of their community, as well as creating favorable conditions for them to freely practice their religious activities.
