(VOVworld) – Da Nang port on Sunday received 2 first 2 ships of the Lunar New Year. 4 container and 3 passenger ships, carrying 1,700 tourists to dock at the port on Monday, the second day of the new year. Last year, 4.5 million tons of goods passed the port. This year, the port seeks a 10% growth rate. Nguyen Thu, General Director  of Da Nang port, said: “Da Nang port has chosen 2013 as the year of productivity, quality and effectiveness. We have taken measures to facilitate passengers and ship owners. Investment in infrastructure has increased to 210 billion VND, mostly in container unloading equipment, deserving the title the most modern port in Vietnam’s central region.”
