The move came after President Milos Zeman said he wants to move the Czech embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.

The Czech Foreign Ministry in April said that Prague fully respects the EU’s position that Jerusalem is the future capital of Israel and Palestine, adding that reopening the honorary consulate will not influence the final agreement on Jerusalem.
