Czech media see bright outlook for economic ties with Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - The Czech daily Nasepravda praised the recent elevation of relations between the Czech Republic and Vietnam, saying it sees opportunities for Czech businesses to invest in one of Asia-Pacific’s fastest-growing economies.

In an article published Thursday, the Czech Republic’s largest left-wing newspaper said the recent upgrade of bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership shows that Vietnam values its relations with the Czech Republic and hopes for more Czech investment.

The article said Vietnam’s strong economic recovery in 2024 provides a solid foundation for continued growth this year. In 2025, the Vietnamese National Assembly targets GDP growth of 6.5-7%, while the government is aiming for an ambitious 8% or more.

The article said that, in a year marked by global uncertainty, Vietnam has not only maintained an admirable growth rate but has increased its standing regionally and globally.
