Art programs to welcome spring and welcome New Year's Eve (February 9) will take place simultaneously in all 13 localities, including four provincial-level performances in the next four days on at the October 30 Square and Bai Chay Tourist Area (Ha Long city).

The much-anticipated fireworks display on New Year's Eve will take place in 17 locations. From the first day of Lunar New Year (February 10), there will be sports and folk games at cultural centers in addition to cultural activities and street festivals.

Nguyen Huyen Anh, Deputy Director of Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, said, “We have asked travel companies to prepare well everything, from infrastructure to human resources, especially organizing traditional Vietnamese Tet events to international tourists. Besides, we have inspections to make sure that nothing wrong will happen and have no effect on the reputation and quality of Quang Ninh destinations.”

Earlier fairs, exhibitions, cultural and sports activities were held, including the Spring Flower Festival; Spring Book and Newspaper Fair plus a photo display of Quang Ninh province’s outstanding achievements; Tet reunion program - Spring sharing; and Spring Colors exhibition featuring Vietnamese folk paintings.
