COVID-19: Vietnam reports 45th death, 235 new cases on Wednesday

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam on Wednesday recorded the 45th death of COVID-19, a 67 year-old female with serious underlying health conditions in Thuan Thanh, Bac Ninh.

The patient died with a diagnosis of septic shock, pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection, hypertension, hypothyroidism, diabetes, and obesity.    

From 12 am to 6 pm on Wednesday, Vietnam recorded 115 new cases of COVID-19 in Bac Giang (39), Bac Ninh (64), Hanoi (9), Hai Duong ( 2), and Thai Nguyen (1), bringing the total number of new cases within the past 24 hours to 235 cases, all of which are locally-transmitted cases.

Vietnam has so far had a total of 6,086 cases of COVID-19. The number of new cases in the community from April 27 to now is 3,027; 2,853 cases have recovered; 45 people have died.
