COVID-19: Vietnam reports 450 new cases, 81st death on Wednesday

(VOVWORLD) - From 6pm on Tuesday to 6pm on Wednesday, Vietnam recorded a total of 450 new cases of COVID-19.

Among the new cases, 9 cases were imported from abroad and 441 cases were locally transmitted in 17 provinces and cities with Ho Chi Minh City reporting the most cases, 249.  

On Wednesday, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control announced that the 81st death related to COVID-19 was a 61-year-old male patient in Ho Chi Minh City with a medical history of pulmonary tuberculosis.

On the same day, 74 patients were declared cured.

As of 6pm on Wednesday, Vietnam recorded a total of 16,863 cases of COVID-19, of which, 6,840 cases recovered and 81 died.
