The US has been the hardest-hit country, with 1.3 million cases and 82,000 deaths. The White House is pushing for temperature checks as a way to reopen the US airlines industry. 

The World Health Organization says certain treatments can shorten the treatment time for Covid-19 patients. It is researching 4 or 5 new treatments.
