In the United States, the number of new cases of COVID-19 caused by the Omicron variant is gradually decreasing, while some states and cities have been gradually lifting pandemic preventive regulations.

In some Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia and Cambodia, normal life is slowly returning. In the Indonesian resort island of Bali, visa on arrival (VOA) service was resumed yesterday for tourists from 23 countries around the world and 9 ASEAN countries, including Vietnam.

Malaysia is ready to reopen its borders, especially for foreign visitors.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen yesterday said that he would hold the traditional Khmer New Year celebration Chol Chnam Thmei normally according to tradition.

Hong Kong (China) will mobilize at least 4,000 police to support a large-scale testing by the end of this month. The Hong Kong government plans to test the entire population in 9 days, starting March 26th. Each person will be tested 3 times and be restricted from leaving the house for 4 days.
