The US is leading the world in both COVID-19 cases and fatalities, with more than 1.1 million infections and close to 69,000 deaths. Far behind the US in total numbers are Spain, Italy, the UK, France, and Germany.

France confirmed 166 deaths on Sunday, the lowest daily count in 5 weeks, and Spain reported more than 160 deaths.

Russia confirmed 10,600 new infections on Sunday, bringing its total to 134,000.
