68 cases were in Bac Giang, 14 in HCM city, 7 in Lang Son, 2 in Ha Tinh and 1 in Hanoi. All the cases in the northern province of Bac Giang are associated with existing outbreaks in the province’s industrial parks.

10 cases in HCM city made contact with confirmed coronavirus cases, while the other 4 are detected inside hospitals.

6 cases in the northern province of Lang Son made contact with COVID-19 cases, while the other was detected within the community.

The 2 cases in the central province of Ha Tinh made contact with confirmed coronavirus cases.

Authorities are inspecting the source of infection of the case in Hanoi.  

Vietnam has so far confirmed 8,883 cases including 3,368 recoveries and 53 deaths.
