In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry also condemned Israel for deliberately bombing and destroying numerous military sites, bases, weapons, equipment, and military systems across Syria over the past two days.
Egypt criticized Israel for the expansion of its illegal presence in the Syrian territories. In addition, it renewed full rejection of Israeli attempts to take advantage of Syria's preoccupation of its internal affairs to undermine the capabilities of the Syrian state and occupy more land.
It urged the UN Security Council, the international community, and effective powers to shoulder their responsibilities to end the serious Israeli escalation in Syria and to convince Israel to respect the sovereignty and integrity of Syrian territories.
In a phone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty also condemned Israel's seizure of Syrian territory and pressed for international action to halt this aggression.
The French Foreign Ministry called on Israel to withdraw its troops from the buffer zone bordering the Golan Heights.
