COP 20 – Negotiators show differences in various issues - ảnh 1

On December 12, Peru, the host country, asked the negotiators to draft a document of their differences on 4 important issues including countries’ commitments on climate change. The conference has agreed to give the negotiators more time to discuss and make important political decisions.
Observers have concerned about fragile commitments from countries. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon urged countries to listen to scientific reports and quickly head to the signing of a global agreement on climate change. He also asked largest emitting countries to make specific targets on carbon dioxide emissions reduction as China, the US, and the EU have done.
