(VOVworld) - Deputy Chairman Uong Chu Luu chaired the National Assembly session on Friday to review the Standing Committee’s report on miscarriage of justice in the application of criminal procedure law and criminal code.

The report acknowledged progress made in investigation, prosecution and trial in respect of correct procedures and ensuring legitimate citizens’ rights. The National Assembly Standing Committee asked investigation agencies, procurator offices and courts at all levels to comply with the law in criminal procedures to avoid miscarriage of justice while providing timely compensation for wrongly convicted litigants.
