Participants focused their discussions on how important China’s Guangzhou played in President Ho’s strategic vision to realize the goal of national liberation; and on his activities to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two countries’ revolutions in the resistance war and socialism building.

Tran Minh Truong, former Director of the Institute of Ho Chi Minh and Party Leaders, underscored President Ho Chi Minh's strategic vision as he chose Guangzhou as the location of operations from November 1924 to April 1927.

Truong said, “The selection of Guangzhou city, the revolutionary capital, the base of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, showed the vision and genius of Nguyen Ai Quoc in choosing the first place to kindle the flame of revolution, creating a turning point for the Vietnamese revolution.”

Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said that throughout his revolutionary activities, Nguyen Ai Quoc-Ho Chi Minh always had sincere and warm feelings for the Chinese revolution and the Chinese people. He was the bridge of friendship between the two revolutions, Loi said.
