Speaking at a conference in Can Tho city on Wednesday to address challenges and strengthen transportation infrastructure in the Mekong Delta, the Prime Minister said that problems with transportation infrastructure result in challenges for goods transportation, leading to increased logistics costs and reduced competitiveness of products.
Chinh said the Mekong Delta possesses many advantages, but also faces significant limitations, particularly in terms of strategic infrastructure, which remains underdeveloped.
Following a report from the Ministry of Transport, he asked the delegates to discuss the development of airports, seaports, and human resources in the region.
