In his message, Italian President Sergio Mattarella highlighted the great contributions of General Secretary Trong to relations between Vietnam and Italy, mentioning that the two countries upgraded their relationship to a Strategic Partnership in 2013 on the occasion of Mr. Trong’s visit to Italy.

French President Emmanuel Macron said General Secretary Trong spared no effort to assert Vietnam's sovereignty and led Vietnam to remarkable socio-economic achievements. He recalled the meeting with the Party chief in Paris in 2018, and the contents of a phone call with Mr. Trong last October, and Mr. Trong’s determination to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries and their peoples.

Leaders from other countries around the world, including President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria, President Lula Da Silva of Brazil, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Deputy Ruler Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani of Qatar, Prime Minister and President of the Unified Marxist Leninist Communist Party of Nepal K.P.
