During the grand finale on Saturday night, the Chinese team incorporated water explosion effects using the fireworks, adding emotional impact, especially for viewers on river cruises.
The show, themed “A Shining Pearl – The City of Tomorrow”, paid tribute to Da Nang as a rising coastal hub.
Jiangxi Yangfeng used Vietnamese hit “Bac Bling”, as it blends traditional music with a modern twist, showing an effort to connect with the host country's culture.
Vietnam’s Z121 Vina Pyrotech, under the Ministry of Naitonal Defense, made its debut in the festival this year and reached the final, earning the runner-up spot.
The team used over 5,000 fireworks. Effects included weeping willows and water-surface blooms, enhancing the visual depth of the performance.
Z121’s display conveyed a message of peace and stability, core values Vietnam continues to uphold in a rapidly changing world.
The 2025 edition marked the largest DIFF event ever, with 10 teams participating. It was also the first time since the event's inception in 2008 that a Vietnamese team reached the final round.
