In an interview with Voice of Vietnam correspondent in China, Prof. Zhu said deputies who are elected with voters’ trust will take part in selecting Vietnam’s key leaders, thereby undertaking the great responsibilities entrusted by the nation and its people.
According to Professor Zhu, in recent years, the Communist Party and Government of Vietnam have conducted major reforms, such as reorganizing administrative units, adopting a two-tier local government model, and streamlining the administrative apparatus. In this context, the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, the close coordination between central and local administrations, together with the collective efforts of the entire population, have helped ensure that the election process is carried out in an orderly and effective manner.
The election has received strong support and positive response from people across all social strata nationwide. Voters have actively participated in the electoral process, demonstrating democratic spirit and civic responsibility, helping to select representatives who truly reflect the will and aspirations of the people.
Professor Zhu Zhenming expressed confidence that under the strong leadership of the Party and with the joint efforts of the Vietnamese people, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils will be a great success.
