In his address, President Xi said he believes that with the joint efforts of all parties, the summit will be a success and the SCO will play a greater role and achieve more progress, consolidate unity and cooperation among member states, and pooling the strength of the Global South.

China's Tianjin city is hosting the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit attended by more than 20 leaders of countries, including 10 member states, dialogue partners, observer countries and invited countries, as well as leaders of international organizations.
