While meeting with the Kazakh First Deputy Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev in Beijing, Mr. Li said China’s yuan adjustment was in line with the latest developments in the global financial market. He added the adjustment was carried out as part of reform efforts in China. Li said the complicated world economic situation and fluctuating market may affect the Chinese economy until its major economic factors are still stabilized. He expressed his belief that China is likely to fulfill its annual economic growth targets through measures to stabilize economic growth, restructure the economy and revive market consumption.
