In a recent interview with Vietnamese media, Weiwei predicted Vietnam's GDP for 2024 to exceed 6.8% and reach 7% in 2025, adding this forecast makes Vietnam's economic data extremely prominent amid the post-COVID global economic recovery.
In the first nine months of this year, Vietnam's import-export turnover increased by 16.3% compared to the same period last year, trade surplus reaching 20.8 billion USD. International tourists to Vietnam in the first half of 2024 increased by 58.4. Foreign direct investment in nine months hit 17.3 billion USD, up 8.9% over the same period last year, an all-time high.
Assessing Vietnam's diplomatic achievements, the Chinese researcher said Vietnam global influence has grown unceasingly. In bilateral relations with China, senior leaders of the two countries have established a new, historic position of building a strategically significant China-Vietnam community with a shared future, opening a new chapter in developing relations between the two Parties and countries of China and Vietnam in the new era and promoting practical cooperation in many fields, according to Weiwei.
