Speaking to a VOV correspondent in Beijing, he said recent breakthrough resolutions have laid a foundation for Vietnam to achieve economic growth of more than 10% after the 14th National Party Congress.

He said he was deeply impressed by Vietnam’s internal reforms, especially the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units.

“I believe the Communist Party of Vietnam has carried out a bold reform. Once again, Vietnam is standing at the forefront of reform since the 6th National Party Congress in 1986. The new orientation set out by the Communist Party of Vietnam is not only beneficial for Vietnam, but also for the region and the world. This makes the 14th National Party Congress a highly anticipated event," said Professor Qu Qiang.

Professor Qu Qiang said Vietnam has established a solid foundation for the next five years of development. At the same time, he said, Vietnam needs to prioritize political work to ensure a correct orientation and policy direction, while also giving priority to the development of science and technology.
