He said the problem is unable to be resolved unilaterally but by law, diplomatic activities, and negotiation. Kerry expected China to handle the matter peacefully. For North Korean’s nuclear issue, he urged China to pressure Pyongyang following the North’s 4th nuclear test on January 6 and recent ballistic missile tests. China has committed to reduce excessive production and warned that diplomatic tension would impact bilateral trade ties.
The US and China said they will cooperate in climate change and China will contribute 3 billion USD to build a fund for developing countries to response to climate change. The two sides will work together in wild life trafficking. On June 7 and 8 the US and China will continue to discuss navigation safety, network security, terrorism, trade cooperation, and the situation on the Korean peninsula.
