According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, China will allow group tours and "flight + hotel" services to 20 countries including Thailand, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Cuba.
Since the beginning of the year, the Chinese government has loosened travel restrictions and cautiously re-opened the country.
Economists say that while international tourism may not immediately return to pre-pandemic level, the industry and countries dependent on Chinese tourists will see certain growth this year.
Prior to the coronavirus outbreak, China was the world's biggest provider of international tourists.
