(VOVworld) - Chinese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Li Baodong said Tuesday that Beijing does not see any reason to conduct a dialogue with Japan on the sovereignty of Diaoyu/Senkaku island in the East China Sea. Li was responding to a question of whether Chinese and Japanese leaders would meet at the coming G20 Summit. Previously, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had expressed his hope of improving relations with China and called for bilateral high-level talks. Japanese authorities soon after announced that three Chinese ships had entered the disputed area around Diaoyu/Senkaku. On August 10, 4 Chinese vessels were seen cruising in the disputed area for an hour.
