According to the Hubei provincial Health Committee, 1,110 people have died in mainland China from Covid-19, the official name of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. Zhong Nanshan, an expert with the Chinese National Health Commission, said the outbreak will reach its peak in China this month and may be over by April.

The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention says 83% of all cases are cross infections between family members.

South Korea said it will give China more than half a million USD in aid. Every member of the Japanese Liberty Democratic Party will donate 45 USD to help China fight the Covid-19 epidemic.
