Traffic police are organizing patrols and guards at severe submerged areas to instruct people passing by and ensure their safety. Local people living in low areas that are under risk of landslides are being evacuated while electricity companies in central provinces are trying to reconnect the storm-hit areas to the national grid.
In the central province of Ha Tinh, torrential rain has inundated 69 communes while some places are facing more flooding from upper reaches. The Ha Tinh provincial People’s Committee said it will provide the local people in Huong Son, Huong Khe, and Vu Quang with 13,000 boxes of instant noodles and nearly 1000 tonnes of rice while preparing plans for the local people to start their winter crops as soon as the water recedes.
