(VOVworld) - Peace negotiators of the Myanmar government and ethnic armed groups reached a ceasefire agreement in Yangon on Monday, after 16 months of negotiation.

The draft agreement was reached on the seventh day of the seventh round of peace talks between the government's Union Peace-Making Work Committee and the ethnic armed groups' Nationwide Ceasefire Coordination Team. The accord will be signed by negotiators from both sides on Tuesday.
