At the event, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Huynh Dam extended best wishes to Catholic dignitaries, clergymen and parishioners nationwide. He said Catholics have always preserved and upheld the tradition of patriotism and actively participated in emulation campaigns and movements, especially those launched by the VFF, contributing to the national construction and defence. Dam expressed his hope that Catholic dignitaries and followers will continue to make contributions, strengthen national unity, and make Vietnam a strong nation with wealthy people and a democratic, fair and civilized society. Priest Nguyen Cong Danh, President of the VCCS, thanked the Party, State and VFF for their concern for Catholic people, affirming that he will continue encouraging dignitaries and parishioners to implement the guidelines and policies of the Party and obey the law.
