More than 7,000 people are still reported missing. Most of the casualties were civilians, of whom about 70% were children and women.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel’s armed forces will continue fighting to protect its security.
"We are continuing the war on all fronts and in all sectors. We are not giving immunity to any terrorist: Not in Gaza, not in Lebanon, not in Syria and not anywhere. Whoever tries to harm us, we will harm him,” according to Netanyahu’s statement.
The Israeli Prime Minister utterly rejected Hamas demand for exchanging prisoners and hostages, which required Israel to end its offensive campaigns on Gaza and release all Palestinian prisoners.
