The CPP won 120 out of 125 seats at the 7th National Assembly election. A total of 18 political parties contested the election.

The results were announced live by NEC on Cambodia’s national television. Early Saturday, the CPP issued a statement accepting the official results of the 7th NA election. The statement also said the 7th Royal Government of Cambodia, led by Dr. Hun Manet will continue to strengthen Cambodia’s great national unity, fulfilling its political platforms and increasing people’s trust in the CPP.
