Speaking at the closing session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that in today's volatile and complex world, strengthening the cooperative relationship and solidarity between Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam has become more important than ever and the three countries need to turn their cooperation commitments into practical results.
“The three National Assemblies need to coordinate closely, support each other, and promote monitoring of cooperation agreements, such as the overall orientation of the three countries' relations has been agreed upon by the three leaders of the three Parties. Other agreements cover strengthening the defense and security pillar, boosting cooperation in foreign affairs, creating breakthroughs in economic cooperation, strengthening cooperation in culture, education, science-technology, tourism, and agriculture," Hue said.
At the closing ceremony, on behalf of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Chairman Hue took over from the Lao National Assembly the responsibility of hosting the 2nd Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Parliamentary Summit, scheduled for 2025.
