The joint declaration, signed by the three top legislators, reaffirms the commitment to further expand and deepen parliamentary cooperation and partnership, with a view to maintaining and protecting close, mutually beneficial cooperation. This will boost cooperation in politics, security, defense, culture and economics for the socio-economic development of the three countries. The joint statement also shows the consensus of the three National Assemblies on cooperation priorities in three pillars: politics-foreign affairs, defense-security, and economy-culture-society.

“The three National Assemblies need to coordinate closely, support each other, and promote monitoring of cooperation agreements, such as the overall orientation of the three countries' relations has been agreed upon by the three leaders of the three Parties. Other agreements cover strengthening the defense and security pillar, boosting cooperation in foreign affairs, creating breakthroughs in economic cooperation, strengthening cooperation in culture, education, science-technology, tourism, and agriculture," Hue said.

At the closing ceremony, on behalf of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Chairman Hue took over from the Lao National Assembly the responsibility of hosting the 2nd Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Parliamentary Summit, scheduled for 2025.
