(VOVworld) – The Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) have agreed on 14 points of electoral reform. According to a statement released on Monday in Phnom Penh by the two parties’ joint committee, the first 2 concrete measures were reviewing the voters registration list and drafting a law on the financing of political parties. The 12 other points related to reform of electoral mechanisms, the independence and goodwill of social and civil organizations, the manner of electoral campaigns, a resolution of electoral issues, and the matter of electoral observers.
