During the day, agricultural export exceeded 3,700 tons and import reached nearly 3,300 tons. Custom clearance concentrated mostly at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate, with 1,030 vehicles cleared, accounting for a large portion of the province’s total volume. Clearance procedures were conducted flexibly and smoothly.

The pilot program for a two-way freight transport system through the Huu Nghi–Youyi Guan international border gates proved effective, with six vehicles from the Chinese side cleared.

Hoang Dinh Truong, a representative of an import–export service company, said, Border gate authorities have been very supportive. The new digital services and platforms have been very useful for businesses. Custom declaration can be conducted remotely using a phone or computer. We can track cargo volumes in a month or a year with detailed data. We can also monitor each step of the clearance procedure from arrival to exit, which has reduced clearance time significantly.”

Stable and smooth import-export on the first day of 2026 promises a strong breakthrough in trade value and state budget revenue in Lang Son province.
