This was announced at the 2020 Vietnam Business Forum in Hanoi on Tuesday, where participants agreed that lessons drawn from the Government’s successful containment of the pandemic can be applied to help business recovery. They asked the Government to take prompt actions to address bottlenecks hindering businesses and make full use of free trade agreements including the EVFTA.

“Apart from praising Vietnam’s improved administrative procedures and business environment, participants touched upon issues that they think should be clearer, more transparent, and predictable. We will take their comments into account to create the best conditions for their operation,” said Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung.

Foreign-invested enterprises asked for more open economic, financial, and tax policies to boost post-COVID recovery.
