The 5-day festival will promote the Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand and introduce Dak Lak’s potential to domestic and foreign investors.
An art program was held at the opening ceremony, featuring the spread of coffee worldwide, coffee culture, and Buon Ma Thuot as a global coffee destination.
A highlight at the festival was Vietnam’s Amazing Brewing Master which introduces Vietnam's specialty coffee industry, Vietnamese coffee culture.
Trinh Duc Minh, President of Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association, said the specialty coffee-making contest is arranged in line with an international model but has been added with some Vietnamese factors that is to make coffee by coffee filters.
“This contest helps to enhance coffee making skills while raising consumer awareness about the important role in making a delicious cup of coffee in the right way,” said Minh, adding “In addition to discovering and honouring outstanding talents in coffee making, the contest also offers a venue for Vietnam to introduce coffee-making methods.”
