Bulgarian National Assembly
(VOVworld)- Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev signed a decree Wednesday to disband the country’s 42nd National Assembly and set October 5 as the date for an early general election.
President Plevneliev appointed Georgi Bliznashki, a 59- year-old international law professor and former member of the Socialist Party, the interim Prime Minister. The interim government, which will replace Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski’s government, will operate for two months until the early general election.
Oresharski resigned on July 23 after the Movement for Rights and Freedoms Party demanded for an early general election.
