Venerable Thich Duc Nghiep, Vice President of the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha delivered the President of the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha’s message of peace in the East Sea. The message calls on the Chinese Buddhist Association to appeal on Buddhist dignitaries and followers around the world to demand the Chinese government to abide by international law. The message asks the Chinese government to exercise its responsibility for protecting and maintaining peace, respecting independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of its neighbouring countries including Vietnam.

On the occasion, Buddhist dignitaries and followers in Ho Chi Minh donated more than 200 million VND to the fund “For beloved Truong Sa” launched by the Ho Chi Minh City’s Fatherland Front.
