(VOVworld)- A conference to honor border soldiers in the northwestern region opened in Thanh Hoa province on Monday. In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Head of the Northwestern Region Steering Committee stressed the important tasks and praised contributions of border guard force in general and those in the northwestern region in particular. He asked them to continue fulfilling their tasks of safeguarding the nation and maintaining national security and order.
