The incident began as gunmen fired at hundreds of protestors waiving white flags inside villas in Gharghour district where the headquarters of Misrata militiamen are based. A rocket was also targeted at the main road where protestors were gathering but did not cause any casualties. Witnesses say there were no security forces around as Friday's bloodshed began. The Libyan government is urging factions to cease fire so it can apply necessary measures to restore order in the capital city.
