US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien said Blinken will reiterates the US’s and NATO’s support for Ukraine at the meeting. The Biden administration is working to persuade the US Congress to approve a 61-billion-USD aid grant for Ukraine.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg also affirmed NATO’s commitment to providing long-term support to Ukraine. Blinken’s visit to Europe will conclude on Thursday after he attends a meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Ministerial Council in North Macedonia.
