Biden lamented the recent shootings in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Chicago. He called for safer storage of guns, ending gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability, and universal background checks. He urged Republican lawmakers in Congress to come to the table to discuss meaningful, commonsense reforms.

Four people were killed and two were injured in a shooting on Monday night in Philadelphia. On Tuesday, at least three people were killed and eight others were injured in a shooting in Fort Worth, Texas.
