At a meeting with newly appointed Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Manh Cuong, the Bangladeshi President said he hopes that Vietnam will facilitate Bangladesh’s export of textiles, garments, and pharmaceuticals to Vietnam.
He also proposed Vietnam play an active role in accelerating ASEAN’s approval for Bangladesh to become a sectoral dialogue partner.
Ambassador Cuong affirmed that Vietnam wants to strengthen bilateral ties with Bangladesh across the fields.
The 2nd Political Consultation Meeting, co-chaired by the Foreign Ministries of the two countries in Dhaka last May, was one of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.
