(VOVworld) – Australia’s Joint Agency Coordination Centre (JACC) on Tuesday said that the air search activities for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 was forced to be suspended due to tropical cyclone Jack.

However, ten ships will continue their search work. Up to 10 military aircraft had been scheduled to fly over the Indian Ocean to search for the Boeing 777, which vanished on March 8 carrying 239 people. JACC noted the current weather conditions are resulting in heavy seas and poor visibility, making air search activities ineffective and potentially risky. Australia is leading the search for the aircraft, however, no debris from the plane has yet been found.
