(VOVworld)-The northern mountainous province of Bac Kan will invest 140 million USD to establish 21 industrial centers until 2020. The sites, which will cover a combined area of nearly 500 ha along national highway number 3, are expected to generate 40,000 jobs.

“Mining is the key industry in Bac Kan province. We are calling for investment in the exploitation of resources for construction and industrial production”, said Ly Thai Ha, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

Under a 10-year project until 2020, each district of Bac Kan will have at least one industrial center, which should be separated from residential areas and meet environmental protection standards.
