Bac Giang lychees have been available at Gourmet supermarket in the Siam Paragorn, Bangkok.

Nguyen Xuan Viet, Chairman of VIFOCO, which exported Bac Giang lychees to Thailand, said that he was very happy that his company is one of the pioneering enterprises to bring fresh lychees to Thai consumers.

“More importantly, Bac Giang's lychee has been on the shelves of ‘The Mall’ chain, one of Thailand's largest retailers today,” said Viet.

Somkiat Wongsakulchai, chief executive of Ekthai, which distributes Vietnamese lychees in Thailand, spoke highly of the fruit’s quality. 

“Vietnamese lychees have beautiful color, small seeds, succulent pulp, and are fragrant and sweet. This is the first time we sell Vietnamese lychees at seven stores in Bangkok under The Mall Group and will expand to all branches next year. We plan to import 1,000 tons of Vietnamese lychee next year,” said Somkiat Wongsakulchai.
