According to the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Albanese and President Prabowo Subianto will discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation, including food, energy resilience and trade, as well as priorities between the new governments of both countries. They will also touch on regional and global issues.
Prime Minister Albanese's visit to Indonesia, one day after his new government was sworn in, shows how much Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia matters to Australia's foreign policy.
This month, Indonesia will also welcome Chinese Premier Li Qiang from May 24-25 and French President Emmanuel Macron from May 27-28.
